Alessandro Marziano was born in 1977 in Catanzaro. From 1994, he moved to Rome for architecture studies and where he still lives and works. Son of the painter Giovanni Marziano, he has always painted, the move to Rome allowed him to study the masters of ancient and modern Italian art from life. He began his exhibition activity collaborating with Roman galleries (the Leone, InQuadro), with the Gagliardi gallery in San Gimignano and with the Casa d’arte gallery in Bra (CN).
Currently he has launched a series of exhibitions in Spain, the first European nation to consider realism as “contemporary art”, made up of the tradition of the trade and the innovation of the underlying idea.
He actively collaborated with his father’s workshop in the creation of the apse mosaic of the Minor Basilica of Squillace (200sqm) and the murals of the same Cathedral.
He is the author of a series of black and white works dedicated to the city of New York, works that have given him international visibility. The last exhibition, in chronological order, titled “talis pater”, was presented at the Miglio di Catanzaro art house as the first stage of a series of traveling exhibitions, reflecting a parallel artistic path with his father. In these days the invitation to exhibit in the capital of Tajikistan, in an event of worldwide resonance organized by the presidency of the People’s Republic of China in collaboration with the counterpart of Tajikistan, acquiring the quality of ambassador of peace through art.
He participated in the exhibition #NOPIXEL, in Sarnico (BG), a group show that brings together the most important Italian realist painters in life.
