Pier Toffoletti was born in 1957 in the province of Udine. His passion for painting was quickly apparent and in 1976, he graduated in applied art at the Liceo Artistico of Udine. In 1979, he opened an advertising studio and worked as a creative artist on advertising campaigns and director of television commercials and video clips.

Curriculum

Pier Toffoletti was born in 1957 in the province of Udine. His passion for painting was quickly apparent and in 1976, he graduated in applied art at the Liceo Artistico of Udine. In 1979, he opened an advertising studio and worked as a creative artist on advertising campaigns and director of television commercials and video clips. He also collaborated with national and local broadcasters, making a number of short cartoon films and video clips. Until 1995, Toffoletti painted as a hobby, dividing his spare time between painting and his other passion, potholing. From 1992 to 1995, he made a number of trips to Central and South America that marked the start of a major life-change and prompted him to commit to painting full-time.

In 2016 he exhibited in Red Dot Miami in the circuit of ART BASEL.

In June 2015 he was invited to exibit at EXPO CITTA’ inside the circuit MILAN EXPO 2015

at the Palace of Giureconsulti in Milan.

In 2014 he exhibited at the Biblioteca Umanistica dell’Incoronata in Milan, at the Archivio Pria in Biella, at Palazzo Bernabei in Assisi and at the Simboli Art Gallery in Florence. In 2013 he was present at the Spazio Tadini in Milan and at Arte Padova, Padua; in 2012 he was at Art Basel Miami and in 2011 he participated at the 54th Venice Biennale and, with a solo show, at Palazzo Molino Stucky in Venice.

Pier Toffoletti has taken part in more than two hundred personal and collective exhibitions, among which it is worth to remember that held in 2009 at Villa Farsetti in Santa Maria di Sala (Venice). In 2008, he exhibited with solo shows at the Museo Correr in Venice, Palazzo Senato in Milan and he took part in Open XI at the Lido in Venice. In 2007, he exhibited at Palazzo della Gran Guardia in Verona and took part in a collective exhibition entitled “Epifania di un albero” (Epiphany of a tree) involving ten well-known artists, at Palazzo Pretorio in Cittadella, in the province of Padua. In 2005, he held another major personal exhibition at the Municipal Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art in Arezzo and in the same year he exhibited in a collective with Japanese artists at Palazzo Scuola Grande San Giovanni Evangelista in Venice. In 2004, he exhibited at the Italian Consulate General in Coral Gables, Florida, and at the Art Centre in Lincoln Road in Miami. In 2002 he was invited by Tokyo-based Asahi Art Communication to exhibit at Palazzo Zenobio in Venice and in 1999 he exhibited at the Italian Cultural Institute in Tokyo.

Events & Exhibitions

Pier Toffoletti has taken part in many international exhibitions and art fairs among which those in Madrid, New York, Yokohama, Las Vegas, Philadelphia, Innsbruck, Strasbourg.

His works are present in public institutions and private collections in Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Germany, Japan, France, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland, Ukraine, Singapore, Hong Kong, USA and elsewhere.
